What are the types of flanges?
In general, flanges are threaded or welded. The two flanges are joined together by gaskets and bolts to stop leaking. In addition, there are some special flanges, such as rotating flanges, reducer flanges, etc.
What are flange gaskets?
The function of the flange gasket is to seal the two flanges. When the flanges are connected, the torque compression of the bolts causes the gasket to form a seal between the two flanges, preventing leakage of liquids and gases.Under different operating conditions, temperature and pressure ratings are different .
How do you identify flanges ?
B.C. is one of the most useful measurements to identifyin flanges. Flanges can also be distinguished by outer diameter, inner diameter, bolt hole diameter, bolt circle diameter and the number of bolt holes.

Metal-to-metal flanges are sealed by the clamping force provided by the clamp tightening the bolts. The flange with an O-ring is sealed by tightly compressing the O-ring and the metal plane on the other side together.
